Oakbrook Brewing Company

stopped by on a Saturday afternoon, and hung out for a few rounds. cool building, in an old firehouse. inside there is a small bar with no seats where they serve the beer, and some long communal tables. they have some board games to play. they have food as well, but we didn't have any. they have 7 beers on tap, plus they do a couple of blends of beers. the beer was just average.

 

I NEVER expected to discover this place this past week, it's a tiny Nano- that started up in March of 2016. It was one of those beautiful moments where my son had a basketball game in a neighboring city (27) miles away, he needed to be at the gym (90+) minutes in advance and 'stumbled upon Oakbrook that was literally across the parking lot from the gym.

The brewery is located in an old neighborhood fire station and the Head Brewer/Owner - Kyle, did a great job restoring the vibe from the original architecture.

Overall, tried (9) of their beers at the brewery and solid. Cool vibe.
