The beer is a clear garnet color, with a very small tan head, and no lace.
Aroma of fruit, caramel.
Taste of apple, caramel, a little hint of smoke.
Light to medium bodied.

This is a solid, strong Irish Red Ale that's worthy of the attention it's getting. Burnt red with a nice initial head that rings quickly. Curtain-like lacing throughout its duration. The sweet malt is balanced by a cocoa/coffee bitterness. Medium bodied and all the way Celtic finish.

Had on tap at the brewpub. Great color/clarity but almost non-existent head. Malty, roasty, almost smoky aroma. Flavor similar to aromas. Light body. Low carbonation (probably intentional for the style). A good example of the style and enjoyable.
