First visit to Quarter Celtic. Opted for a 16 ounce pour of this over doing a flight.
I appreciate that the beer was served in a nonic pint. A big pet peeve of mine with Canteen is there shaker glasses.
Color on the beer is copperish with a blonde hue. Good frothy white head. Color seems darker than what I was expecting in a session but that's okay.
Surprised by the aroma. Really fruity at first and then a little funky note to it. Seems like what I expect of Simcoe hops although I've learned not to try to guess a hop as I often get it wrong.
Flavor continues to show the fruity flavors and a little more pine and resin. Nice and full-flavored despite being a session. My qualm is the lingering grape/caramel flavor which I could do without. Up front hop and malt combo is good though.
Feel is great. Light and drinkable but not watery. Really bitter on the finish.
Well done. Clearly more Quarter Celtic visits are necessary.
