Sometimes I question why I bother giving underwhelming breweries continued chances when I could be spending my drinking capital on places who are more likely to be worth my time. Then I come across a beer like this and remember why. Pours clear golden, bubbles rising to top, and a white head. Decent retention left on the side of the glass. Aroma is heavy on the yeast with some wonderful fresh cut grass and straw, some noble hops, and some toasted wonderbread. Flavor follows suit. Mouthfeel is active, not quite medium but also not super thin. A little creaminess in the mouthfeel. Overall, well done QC. This beer is a stud. Albuquerque is loaded with some fantastic lagers (like Marble's Pilsner, Bosque's Lager, every lager released by La Cumbre, Dialogue's Das Palabra) and this one is right up there with the best of them. And it stands out. They should consider making this a flagship offering, because its good enough that it would draw me in on a frequent basis.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
