a mango gose, as you likely guessed from the clever name. its a cool beer, not overly sour or salty, which i think allows what tastes to me like fresh mango to be really forward in the beer. the sweetness of the fruit offsets some of the cleaner lactic sourness, and it stays refreshing and drinkable for a sour beer, which i like in a gose style. its not overly lively, just a short white bubbling on top of an range hued cloudy base, some carbonation rising up but it dissipates. aroma of tangy sweet fresh mango, no forced or too much, but up front and very natural. its accentuated by a lemony sourness and a pinch of salt, which dries out some of the sugar in the taste. the flavor is mango driven but there is a light white wheat malt complexion all the way through it, as well as a citric acidity, very clean. a floral element, maybe light coriander here, a nice wrinkle. mango in the finish with the acid, again very real fruit tasting to me. it could stand a little more carbonation, but it still drinks really fresh and easy. mango is a tricky fruit to brew with, that maintain flavor but not make it too sweet paradox, and these guys have found the perfect mark with it here in a pretty solid base gose. well done.
