A nice, clean taproom. Fancy, but not too fancy. The beer was fine, a little better than I would've have predicted, but nothing spectacular. Service was good. Not a bad place for a beer if you're downtown.

Hip place in downtown Toronto, a Canadian version of what people think the well to do eat in Williamsburg.
Our waiter was energetic and friendly almost to the point of concern.
Clean, well kept decor in a contemporary bohemian industrial style. A backroom offered live sports on a projector. House brews were displayed front and center.
Paper menu in the style of newspapers advertised Brewery made beer and hearty food. For those interested in familiar standbys cans and bottles are on offer and also on display.
Plates were well presented, made from fresh ingredients. Vegetarian in the group had options.
And the beer and cider were tasty and not too cold.

Brews were a hit and miss, but give brewmaster a chance to master his tools. Witbier, Irish Red hit the style. Others off a bit or more. Excellent food, for the two people I brought with who had it. Food took a long time at end of lunch hour, but it was well made. Very nice place, but will be pricey when firm opening.
