About the beer:
The color is light amber or yellow with a slight orange tinge, almost clear. Covered with a lot of fine foam with a slight brewhouse aroma. The first sip surprises with its low head, which is actually an exaggeration, the beer is unrounded. The body is not even that lean for the low original gravity, but also full-bodied due to the smoked malt. Slightly caramelly in taste, otherwise no major impulses from the malt. The good hopping with Spalter Select is noticeable relatively early on, but it only becomes really bitter on the palate after swallowing. The hops have no lingering bitterness, but they do show an edge.

The Zoigl is incredibly lively, with philosophical conversations about beer with the brewer and owner that can run late.
