My lovely wife brought home a few random bottles from Proper Brewing Co and this is easily the best of the lot. Is actually listed on the bottle as "MABON Weizenbock Ale". Pours a dark amber that lets enough light through to give it a beautiful reddish brown tint. Tight lacing that stays forever. I love that. Can't quite figure out the smell: grain, some fruit, quite nice. Taste is a well balanced malt, some hints of tropical fruit (not citrus), dark roasted grains. Hops are blended in well, not bitter bite at all. Mouth feel is super smooth and it drinks easy like a really good session beer, but watch out: at 7% this is no session ale and will kick you in the butt after a couple. You can't taste the alc burn and that could be a potential problem as this goes down way too easy. I really like this beer and plan to keep a couple in the super secret beer stash at all times.
