Clear pale golden brew with plenty of foam in the Maredsous goblet. So pleasingly aromatic with flowers and alfalfa. Tastes of roasted malt, somehow. But maybe it's some kind of hops. More green honeydew melon and hints of apricot, but more dry than fruity with just that perfect touch of sweetness. Brewers are starting to do interesting things with the Helles category! Maybe it's just all hoppy Lagers with different names (alsatian pilsner, etc) but I"m happy to see the variations of mildly hoppy brews. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'shea Brewing.
