Japananse Style Lager. Brewed to be paired with your favorite seafood dish, Local Katana drinks very light and refreshing while carrying notes of lime zest and lemongrass. Great for lunch, dinner or the couch.

Well its that time again, time to add a beer to a Next Glass database and generate content in the form of a review of said beer for the first time at said Next Glass database. Respect Next Glass!
This pours uber light, I mean, I'm not even sure I've seen a beer with such a light hue, indicative of rice, and also not much barley. But that isn't a slight, this is a beer designed to be such a thing. Doesn't make much of a head, 1/6" at its peak. Big hole in the middle. The aroma is that of a Japanese rice lager, in that its almost nothing beyond the lightest impression of grains culminating in a lighter nose than 100% barley.
The taste is much the same way, no yeast or hop flavors, just an easy cruise with mostly water, some rice and barley. I didn't hate it, definitely easy to drink and it didn't piss me off the way say Bud or Coors Light can. You can sober up drinking this beer. Can definitely see how it pairs with food since it won't distract from the food flavor profile.
