Clear red-gold color. Poured a medium sized head which collapsed to larger bubbles and then a thin skiff after half a minute. Very low flow of tiny sized bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Left no lacing.
Toffee malt, sweet florals and fruity scents. Ripe banana. Swirling the glass kicked up a lot more banana and a light spice.
Sweet banana flavor dominates, although there is a touch of citrus. Some malt shows up after a few seconds. A light spice that is more hot than flavorful; could be cloves. Just a hint of bitters when it warms up a bit. The aftertaste is mostly banana. Banana with a light spice, and then more banana.
Some tongue tingling despite the visual lack of carbonation. However it hardly foams up at all. Medium body.
Well executed Blonde. The banana lover's beer. High on both the fruit and malt scale for a blonde, but maybe that makes it more of a banana cream pie.
