Pours a medium amber, coppery coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of bready, caramel malt, pine resin and light citrus and tropical fruit notes of grapefruit, mango and pineapple. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by bready, caramel malt and pine resin, with lighter citrus and tropical fruit notes of grapefruit, mango and pineapple that have that certain bubble gum feel to them. Finishes with a strong bitterness and quite a bit of pine coming through in the aftertaste. Medium/rich body with medium carbonation.

This is your typical west coast DIPA, with a malty character, strong bitterness/pine resin and notes of citrus/tropical fruit. A little unbalanced, but really not too bad. It does start out somewhat sweet and boozy, which quickly gets drowned out by the bitterness and pine though.
