listed at 7% abv when i was in, and spelled bluesitra, with an s, and as one word, same beer i assume right? probably the best of the three beers I had in here, slightly maltier than many, but blasted with citra hops to a pretty high degree and with a little something to the ferment. its not radical but its interesting enough to be fairly captivating, with a richer feel, fuller body, and bright fruit forward hops that hit on melon, tangerine, and lemongrass notes, some compatible yeast esters too. some dankness here also, a heady grapey sativa vibe, the kind of weed that’s just as good to smell as it is to smoke, or close anyway. the flavor has a little drop off from the nose, but not much, and it starts malty and finishes with the hops, some bitterness too late for how dry hoppy it seems, its all here really. the fermentation is pretty clean but also has some flavor, probably done a little warmer than is common, but i like the way the yeast here compliments the hops, the body is round and flush, carbonation is average, and i don’t mind the slightly longer finish as it extends this wonderful hop profile. not even all that old school overall for being this malt forward because the hops are so bright and sexy. really dug this one.
