Pabst Blue Ribbon is brewed in the finest traditions of an American Premium Lager dating back to 1844. Brewed with a combination of 2 & 6-row malted barley, select cereal grains and American and European hops, Pabst Blue Ribbon is fermented with a proprietary lager yeast. Our unique fermentation and maturation process results in a smooth, full bodied beer with a clean, crisp finish with a fine noble hop aroma.

Copenhagen 14/11 2015. 35,5 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Big blue ribbon on the label. Looks like they think that they deserve some kind of medal for this beer.

Pours clear pale yellow with a small, white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam barely covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is malty sweet and apart from that pretty neutral. Some cardboard and boredom.

Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lightly prickly texture.

Flavor is sweet malt and corn followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and fairly short.

Rather bland actually. Not as horrible as I thought when I saw the average rating. But they do not get any medals for this.

This sample reviewed is brewed by Anheuser-Busch. Seems to be a faithful reproduction from a brewing operation that produces technically well made beer.

Straw yellow with a large amount of carbonation for a frothy white heat. Mainly corn notes and extremely light malt. A faint malt bitterness. Cheap 16oz can at your local dive bar.

Urine yellow with steady carbonation and a soapy, bright white foam that slumps to a semi sticky ring.
Aroma of corn and white sugar - faint hints of German hop spice but could just be oregano and wet horse bedding.
The flavor is watery and barely beerish. Semi sweet with a sharp carbonation bite.
The body is super light and the finish is metallic and astringent but ends super clean, abruptly devoid of any lingering anything.

PBR is not horrible, but I've had many better AALs in my days.

This is AMERICAS beer, if you don’t like it then go back to Commieville or whatever.

Definitely a love it or hate it lager. Roommate hates these but I could personally sip down an unreasonable amount of these. Quite a unique flavor for a beer like this, a bit more “malty” than I am used to but nowhere near as disgusting as a Four Loko or anything considering the price. Just a good ole red white and blue blooded drink.
