This one is not retired! Picked it up, 40 ounce style, from Midtown Liquor in Detroit for $2. Label is amazing...lion literally perched on the edge of destruction. Says August 06, 2012 - apparently that's when it expires.
A: Yellow gold
S: Smells like fruity corn and alcohol.
T: Little bit of hops mixed with strong servings of alcohol; corny aftertaste.
M: Throat-coating for a moment so not the worst ever.
O: It'll get you drunk! Underrated malt liquor, but as far as real beer is concerned it's a poor excuse for a brewski.

Sampled on November 24, 2011. This beer is not retired. At least I do not think it is because I was able to buy a 40 ouncer for this review. It pours pale yellow with a fizzy head. The aroma is malty but it is not the raunchy malts that accompany many of its counterparts. The body is thin. The taste brings out malts, grass, corn, and a fresh hint of hops. As far as malt liquors go this is not quite as bad as some I have had. Of course it packs a punch.

Good god!!!! Smells like rotting grass and spoiled corn. Poured it straight down the glass and got a huge head that lingered. It looks like any malt liqour/pale lager golden and clear. Also it smells like jock strap in my glass. Yes this is horrible made my stomach gurggle off the first sip. Not much work here. Horrid, Vile, abysmal, and disgusting all together. Worse than Josef Hafbauer light. Do not buy this. TRUST ME!!!!

This was a flat yellow, clear beer with almost no head and low carbonation.
The aroma was of grains and a little bit of hop... surprisingly not skunky.
The taste was definite corn and grains... no hops, no skunkiness. It went down easily for a malt liquor. Mouthfeel was thin though.
Surprisingly drinkable... you could drink a good amount of this stuff. Which is good, as it comes in a 40 oz. bottle.
