Brewed at the time by "Pearl Brewing Co., San Antonio, Texas" which I'm assuming was assumed by what is now Pabst Brewing, San Antonio, Texas. Never had J.R. as a drink, but only had it as the can. Assume it's no different from any of the American Adjuncts of the era, but certainly I can't vouch for that. Only based on indirect observation.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
