The best description I can give you for this brew is that it tastes like a mouth full of pennies. This is cheap Pabst Blue Ribbon and not that I don't appreciate some PBR, but it's not spectacular. Color is pale and the same goes for the taste. Lacking in character, the only quality of this brew is it's affordable cost.

Now, I know this rating is from memory, and it shouldn't be, and it also appears quite negative but I remember quite vividly the night I had this beer. I had it on Christmas break in my junior year of college while back home in Pittsburgh. I had just turned 21 a few months ago (the year is '02) and my buddy and I went into a beer distributor late at night and I found a CASE for $6. Worse, it even had probably the worst can design ever. The lettering was a bright yellow on top of an aqua blue can. Being cheap and drunk I bought it, and I remember saying it was better than regualr Jake's since that beer is pure swill. This beer is smoother and heavier with a more pronounced hop bite and some sweet malts. Other than that this beer is still pure garbage that one should not bother buying.

Crystal clear, golden in color with a bright white head that holds fairly well as it's buoyed by a zesty carbonation. It even leaves some lace. Nice appearance! The aroma is of a slightly fruity and grainy maltiness. The body is medium with a fine, lightly effervescent carbonation that caresses the tongue. Smooth, yet lively in the mouth. The flavor is sweetly malty with an evident alcohol and some of the fruitiness previously noted in the aroma. The finish is dry and short lived with some minimal lingering sweet malt.
