From a can to a glass, the beer is golden yellow with a quickly disappearing white collar.
He brewer really nailed the aroma. It is of really good dill pickles with some standard lager aroma behind it.
The taste is not bad, as there is a pickle taste a bit of salt and then some bread like malts. As expected, not much in the way of hops. I wish they had made this a bit more sour.
The mouth is like a standard PBR, crisp and solid.
I’m glad I bought 3 6 packs as they will be great for a beer back with a Bloody Mary or mixed with bloody mary mix for a Red Beer.

Clearance rack at Albertsons, $4 for a six pack. Clear golden pour, fizzy head. Aroma is pickle juice, dill. Taste seems toned down compared to the aroma, sour, dill, and pale malts .

This was beer number six of a build your own six pack and it was Sunday evening and the store was getting ready to close.
See, I'm already trying to justify it.
My only other experience with pickle beer was this one time in band camp. I, uh, mean about a month ago. It was not good. So what possessed me to toss $2.17 plus tax on Pabst Pickle? Folks, if I could answer that I'd probably drive a nicer car.
The beer smells a lot like pickle. Much more so than it tastes. And for me that's one for the Win column. There is a definite pickle flavor, but I’d go so far as to say it’s subdued. I would not go so far as to say I’d seek this out again or intentionally buy another.

Poured from a 12 ounce can into a shaker pint glass.
L - Pours a light amber color with a white head that dissipates quickly.
S - Smells of pickles.
T - Tastes like a light lager with a pickles addition.
F- Medium to light bodied with medium carbonation.
O - Slight variation on the American Light Lager. I hope they brew it again.

This one hurts because I love PBR. looks pretty normal. Smell is vinegar heavy with the dill. Tastes like taking dill pickle shots. This is not normally something that people are looking for as a beer. Man I wanted to like this but most people trying this are going to be grossed out by the taste.

12 oz can best by date Sept 14, 2026 into a Becher glass.
L: Pours clear light caramel gold color with a few large carbo bubbles, a thin white head that quickly recedes to edge foam, very light scattered random lacing.
S: Pickle brine, garlic, a hint of light yeast.
T: Quite light dill pickle brine, vinegar, garlic, onion, a touch of salt, distant white peppercorn, a suggestion of pear, yeast, and light bread dough esp in the finish.
F: Lightly brisk medium-light bodied mouthfeel with a fairly fast gently dry finish.
O: A nice, polite pickle taste with some light yeasty bread notes. A very refreshing feel and flavor. This isn't as salty or as zingy as others in the style. PBR is in the back but this beer is easy to drink or quaff. It is mellow and is good.
