I was social chairman for my frat in 1994. We couldn't buy kegs anymore so had to purchase cases of beer in cans.. We went to the local establishments for the best deal. We were set on Keystone light until a liquor store owner offered us this, Nice looking golden case with Golden cans for $2.40 per case. We couldn't turn it down. We bought over 1000 cases and i thought I was smart.
Holy crap was this bad!
Not only did it taste horrible, it turned frat brothers crazy. Many destroyed their rooms by kicking down doors and destroying dry wall.
We called this devil water. I could only drink it if I was drunk and had no more money to buy anything else personally.
This was disgusting. I wouldn't let a brat boil in this swamp water. We finished the thousands of cases after one year and it was never spoken about again. This swill should've been illegal it was that bad. I'd drink Natty lite with a twist of cream before Id take a sip off this again. Garbage

 

This is almost undrinkable and this comes from a guy who finds redeaming qualities in beers like Schlitz and Blatz..decided to save some $$ while searching for something to wash away some yard work sweat.....bad call...The rest of this is going for beer brats and I feel sorry for the brats...

Looks good enough..pours a nice gold with a little white fluffy head...but much like that chick that looks hot from a distance but turns into a real dumb b1tch when you get to know her..same thing with this beer.....not a sour beer, but it leaves that nasty kind of aftertaste...not sure what the heck is wrong but this is one of the worst beers I've ever tried...wish I could give it a 0 for mouthfeel and flavor...nose is typical adjunct notes...

Not recommended....If you're thinking of saving some $ and gettign this e-mail me and I'll shoot you a couple bucks in the mail so you can get something drinkable like Keystone Light...not sure what the hell I was thinking when I bought this...I literally had to drink two Capital Maibocks to cleanse my palate the first time I had this and will likely have to do the same now...stay away from this sewage..

Being a Tacoma boy I had to try this. I bought a 12 pack for $6.49 in Minnesota. Pours very pale with lots of carbonation. Not too much head. Smells dry and bubbly. Taste is of weak malt, very dry yet smooth. Hops are there, but they are almost hidden by the graininess. Not bad for a cheap beer. Glad I tried it. It is smoother than regular "Oly".
