Deep black color with a thick dark beige head with medium retention and leaving some laces.
Aroma with lots of cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted coffee beans, mild vinous notes, a bit of hay and oat.
Flavor with notes of expresso coffee, lots of cocoa powder, licorice, pine, grapefruit citrusy, plums and a bit of charcoal. Dry and bitter aftertaste with a lingering coffee note. It feels lower than its 65 IBUs.
Medium to full body with appropriate carbonation. Hard to believe this has 8,2% abv.
Very balanced and easy to drink Imperial Stout with traditional notes for the style, but with a preference for cocoa.
