I don’t know what’s up with this beer. I hope I got the right one on draft at The Casual Pint Bearden in Knoxville. This has all the makings of a pilsnener. If you blindfold me, I would swear to drinking Polestar from Left Hand. Perhaps a little more bitterness, but very grainy and grassy, and not hops grass, fresh mowed grass. Aroma and flavor have all the signs of European hops and nary an American hop. Where’s the citrus? Where’s the pine? Not an IPA, or at least not one that I want another of.
