Die Weisse "Max Märzen"
on tap at the brewery
Notes: Crystal clear gold body beneath a full head of fluffy broight white foam. Excellent head retention and lacing. Mild aroma of lightly sweetish grainy malt. The favor is clean, fresh, sweetish with grainy malt, and lightly floral. It's moderately bitter, and sweetish but balanced. Light-medium in body with a smooth, soft carbonation. So is this a Märzen? It's one of the new Weis'n Märzen that are popular at Oktoberfest now. Of course this is an Austrian beer, but it's the same thing. This is really nicely balanced and highly drinkable in volume at 5.2% ABV.
