Latest visit 2/11/20 (San Diego, CA) - Brewery located within the bar restaurant The Local in Downtown San Diego. Brewery closing by the end of January 2025.

Vibe: Can order directly from the brewery or within The Local bar area. Several draft options available across many styles. Somewhat corporate, though enjoyable. 3.5

Quality: I enjoyed a flight of four to start, and all four rated 4.0 to 4.25 in overall rating. Good quality, can brew across multiple styles, pleased with the beers I ordered. 4.25

Service: Staff at the brewery friendly, engaging, knowledgeable. Prompt, friendly service. Picked up flight and enjoyed in brewery area before heading toward The Local Bar area. 4.25

Selection: Only had a few stops here, but enjoyed the offerings across multiple styles. Not a full range of a dozen plus styles, but at / beyond a typical brewery level of offerings and pleased with my selections. 4.0

Food: NA.

Overall: This was a good stop I enjoyed both for the brewery selections and area, and the overall space including The Local. Sad to read this brewery is closing soon, hopefully The Local will continue as it is one of my favorite locations in Downtown San Diego. Thanks for the memories and quality selections. 4.25

There are many places to drink good beer in San Diego. This is one of the best. Large indoor space downtown. The brewery "taproom" is actually a separate bar in the back of a shared space with the Local Tavern which has its own kitchen, full bar and serves Resident brews along with many others. Service is very good.

 

Nice place in a great location downtown in San Diego! Customer Service was fantastic and you can tell that this is an up and coming brewery in California! The only issue for this place is finding a decent place to park!

 

When in downtown SD, this is the place to drink craft beer.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resident Brewing is located inside the Local Eatery and Drinking Hole across the street from the U.S. Grant Hotel. It's located in a convenient area of downtown. The atmosphere is pretty nice. Lots of seating area at tables and at the bar. The server was friendly and attentive.

The beers were above average to good. Nice visit.
