Chocolatey with a slight peppery finish. No syrupy finish like happens with a lot of strong flavored stouts.

I love this beer, a complex stout with a subtle bite from fish peppers. This is not a session beer, but try one and you'll be back for more. This was a collaboration between Peabody and Woodberry Kitchen, a superb restaurant in Baltimore. A definite A+ for creative effort and solid A for results.

Pours a nice jet black with a solid brown head that dissipates to a ring after a few minutes. Nose is HUGE cocoa and coffee, holy hell does it pack a punch there! Taste follows with even more coffee and cocoa, but where this really shines is the fish peppers. DO NOT drink this one cold, as those were completely absent my first few sips, and they are a crucial part of this beer. The peppers are hot, but the sweetness from the cocoa balances with them so well I just can't stop drinking it! Mouthfeel is great too, nice and heavy but not syrupy or sticky. Excellent beer from a new brewery that's now on my radar!
