Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Real pale body, a straw lemon, with real opaque and good turbidity to the body appearance. Solid and milky looking, not too sludgy but getting there. Bleach white head, minimal lacing, little retention, but a good bright white three fingers of swiss cheese fine bubbles.
Nice hop aroma. This is quite pleasant. A mix of tropical fruit, ranging from guava to pineapple, and touches of sweet melon in the mix also. Little hint of spicy hop herbs in the mix too. Very well done here.
Palate takes a bit of a lighter edge. A hinting wet body that doesn't seem to go with the expected hinting juicy profile of a NEIPA. Slightly chalky mid palate and wet quality. Flirts with tropical fruits, but then gets considerably astringent and bitter particularly on the finish. Gets into a little green heat, and possibly pine bitterness that really lingers.
From the nose to the appearance, is a great start, but the palate after that makes it seems like it is more of a let down. Drinkable and passable at least for sure.
