Hazy, but not egregiously so, gold, white head, good retention, decent lace
Passion fruit, red grapefruit, native grape aroma
Hop flavor follows aroma, but muted, some bready malt backbone
Medium bodied, appropriate carbonation
Decent enough

Hazed amber/gold appearance with a large, dense, off white head and good lacing. Spicy, peppery aroma that eventually turns to a more traditional citrus profile. Getting more citrus, especially lemon, on the palate with a vegetal edge like cucumber in the aftertaste. Malts do not move the needle very much. Light-to-medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Dry, moderately bitter short lived finish.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Deep rich and classic forming head. Off white in color, quite tall at four easy fingers with a mix of small bubbles but not fine ones. Lots of retention and staying power as it barely budges at all, leaving an excellent mountain island in the center. Light colored and fairly clear with aggressive carbonation. A pale amber, more towards yellow side of orange. Very nice and aggressive looking IPA.
Real solid aroma. Gum drop and zesty mixing citrus notes of hop on the nose, with a soft sense of sweetness and lots of orange and lemon oil like frangrances. Hits a little earth and pickle like interestingly too.
Palate seems to be just a hair turned down. Light bodied a bit wet and overly session feeling which doesn't keep the flavors lasting. Hits slightly chalky with less citrus qualities in flavor than on the nose. Good acting bitterness, but follows also with dry flour and an odd pickle briney quality on the finish to go with it.
This seemed to be hitting the right spot for a West coast IPA at the start but went a different direction. Certainly not bad, but sort of comes out slightly disappointing.
