Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Quite a big head, frothy and bright white easily making over a fistful tall size, and slightly a bit out of control. Good clear body, but top up and trub gives some haze later on, through a pale amber body.
Mellow sensing hop aroma. Mild touches of citrus orange, and a faint mango. Comes off a bit muted with a little bit of chewy body. Decent but slightly lacking on the nose.
Palate seems a little less exciting than expected. Good pine like bitterness of heat on first sip, but one that gets a bit stingy large and less fruit hinted. Not much hint of citrus or tropical going on here, more of a muted oily zest that is more in the realm of some burnt woody pine. Finishes a bit biting hot also, with a simple depth.
Doesn't quite come across like a west coast style IPA. Decent but really lacking a fruity punch.
