Another rich, tasty stout in our series celebrating the authors of the Lost Generation. This one is mole-inspired and chocolate, slight chili, and smoke flavors.

16 oz can picked up as part of a mix-6 at Wegmans, poured into a tulip pint glass. Pours pitch black with a gorgeous cascade of bubbles, settling into a large head - which quickly fades completely away. No lacing. Kind of a mixed bag on appearance. Also, there is some weird sediment at the bottom like chili pepper skins. Pretty weird. Aroma and flavor feature dark roasted malt, a bit of cinnamon/spice, and a hint of heat. It's very boozy, even considering the 10.5% abv. Mouthfeel is full, creamy, and oily. Overall it's okay but the flavor is mediocre so overall it's not worth the 10.5% abv or the calories; the last 8 oz went down the drain.
