We love our fall beers, but you know if we're doing pumpkin, we had to make it special. It's time to welcome back Lord Pumpkin, our dark, strong Belgian pumpkin ale. This 12% heavy hitter is malty, but not too sweet. Expect notes of toffee and caramel, with subtle hints of pumpkin, and warming clove and cinnamon. Finishes dry, and drinkable.

Less than clear copper appearance with a small beige head and light lacing. Pumpkin spices contribute to the aroma right up front while caramel malts and ripe fruit add depth. Taste is earthy, woodsy, malty, dark fruit, moderately sweet and modestly spiced with just enough of a hop presence near the finish to provide a bit of balance. Pumpkin sticks around but does not overshadow the flavor. Smooth without a harsh bite despite the 12% abv. Lingering full bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel. Unique style (for a local brewery); the label on the can only states that it is a Belgian Pumpkin Ale and didn't realize until after purchasing that it was a Dark Strong Ale. Only made it more intriguing and rewarding.
