Idaho 7. Production Manager Sam’s new favourite hop. We had our first dose of it last year in our TIPA with Deya. In this beer we’ve built a marble plinth for Idaho 7 to stand upon and shine in all its glory. A pyramid of juicy sun kissed Californian oranges stands tall, drips of sticky resinous pine swell from their crevices whilst bright rays of sunshine beam from behind, cutting through viscous fluffy clouds shading their edges with gold.

Pours a hazy light orange with soft head.
Smell is a bit weak with notes of dank melon, citrus and grapes.
Taste is fruity and soft with a dank edge to it. Notes of melon, citrus, grapes and a slightly tart hint. Soft bitterness and quite understated overall.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft and well carbonated.
Overall, a good IPA, but lacking the oomph I've come to expect from North.

440ml can. Cloudy, grapefruit juice with one finger of white head that leaves many rings and arcs of lacing. Soft, juicy mango flavour with a dank undercurrent and a sweet citrus aftertaste. Medium body with a soft, rounded, slightly sticky mouthfeel. A New England-style IPA with a resinous edge. Good stuff.
