A Best Bitter, for you, for me and for us. Chevallier, Crystal, Munich, Amber Malt and Torrefied Wheat provide a fine crunchy biscuit and sweet marmalade base with a clear and rich amber hue. A blend of whole leaf Bullion, East Kent Goldings and UK Cascade allow for a strong bitter line to run through the whole drink and throw bouquets of earthy blackberry, honey and gentle floral pine aroma.

Pours a dark reddish brown with soft head.

Smell is malty and a bit sweet and floral. Notes of toffee, brown bread, dried fruit and some rye.

Taste is malty and a bit sweet. Crisp and easy to drink with a soft bitterness and some mineral hints. Notes of citrus, brown bread, leather and dried fruit.

Mouthfeel is medium, smooth and well carbonated.

Overall, a very nice, modern take on a bitter.

Cask at Cardinal, Stavanger, sample at "Mandag i Annen". Brown colour, moderate head. Aroma and flavour of toffee, blackcurrant leaves and earthy hops. Nice.

440ml can.
L: Dark orange/amber with a light haze and a creamy head that lasts to the end.
S: Orange toffee and a hint of barley sugar.
T: Caramel, black tea and a trace of citrus.
F: Medium bodied with a little slick and an astringent finish.
O: A beautiful, modern best bitter. Marmalade and resin joins earthy, leafy hops. A real treat. Would love to try on draught.
