Colour black as night, appears clear although it is hard to tell. Foam is minimal, light beige, short-lived.
In the aroma the tropics are immediately perceptible, some resin but also gently marked bitter chocolate.
The taste is lightly roasted and again intensely tropical mixed with hints of resins.
Clear bitterness, grapefruit, always on the finish, dry, maybe even lingering, does not interfere and even harmonises nicely with the mango and resin.
Saturation seems to be medium towards high, fitting.
Alcohol perfectly hidden. Warms up but very subtly.
The Lumberjack is very oily (not heavy), smooth, even velvety, and there is a hint of acidity.

Bottle conditioned. Black with a thick, frothy, light tan head.
A light refreshing aroma indicating the dark malt, chocolate, rye and american hops.
Tastes similar. Nicely balanced.
Moderate body. Light carbonation.
Easy to drink. Very nice and shows a stout does not need high alcohol or heavy body.

500 ml bottle Browarium Sklepy Piwne - Pours dark black with a large tanned foamy head. Medium carbonation. Nice lacing. Smell - light pine with a light bready feel, hint of smoke/peat. Taste - Hint of pine, bready/peaty with a long bitter finish. Crackerjack of a well balanced ale.

16% Plato. Opaque black rye stout, decent tan head and retention, roasted, coffee, rye characters, good citrusy and bitter hop traits.
