Copenhagen 22/8 2020. 33 cl bottle in a little cardboard box from Væskebalancen, Vestergade, Aarhus. Drawing of a tired-looking miner with a lamp and a helmet tucked under his arm on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with a small beige head which quickly disappears. Settles as thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong whiff of smoked single malt whisky. Smoke and peat. A bit of brown sugar and caramel. Boozy peat. Smoke. Tar. Salty.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, a bit flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingering. Finish is sweet and smoky with a touch of alcohol.
Smoky and sweet with a heavy, single malt footprint.
