Malt bill equates to a “Kölsch”, a German style ale originated in Cologne. Only our Version is a lot hoppier, with 3 hop editions of “Opal” hops from Spalt / Bavaria. Fermented with Kölsch yeast. Since we are not situated in Cologne, we wouldn't be allowed to use the name “Kölsch” anyway, so this is an original “Wölsch”. Name we came up with in 00.
And for those who missed geography class (yes Pam, you for ex), the “Rhine” is a big, long river that flows thru Cologne.
