Sampled at the brewpub, this one comes out a cloudy straw gold under a one finger white head that is creamy and smooth, fading slowly but generating quite nice lace along the way. The nose is quite strong, sweet, spicey and fruity. The mouth is light and rather prickly. Fruit and malt determine the opening, with espresso lurking in the background. A touch of apricot emerges early, while dry and bitter characterize later stages, although they fade quickly, leaving not much of an aftertaste. It's a good beer, but this brewery does many others that are much better.
