Sampled at the brewpub, the beer comes out a slightly cloudy copper brown under a two finger off-white head with lots of contour, fading quite slowly and leaving great sheets of lace. The nose is very mild, with just a hint of malt. The mouth is well carbonated and slightly sticky. The opening features nice spicey hops with good malt backing and a sharper note of an almost metallic nature. Dry bitter emerges late, but never overwhelms. There is a cherry note at the opening, but that fades quickly. The aftertaste is slightly bitter. A smooth quaffable brew.
