Had on tap at the brewpub on 09-April-2009. Tall, pilsener style glass.
Pours a very pleasantly cloudy yellow, rich white head. Maybe a little overcarbonated - something I noticed of all the beers at 1516. Took a while to settle down, but when it did, it's just a very nicely done, slightly aggressive (dare I say American style?) wheat beer.
All the right notes - light on the banana, but refreshing spicy citrus twang (I would bet this has American hops somewhere in it). Not sure what "Quinoa" is or what it should taste like, but I didn't taste anything than a straightforward, creamy, well-made wheat beer. Only that nagging foam kept it from being an ideal warm afternoon thirst quencher.
But I'll have it again. My favorite of the 1516 lineup.

(From notes)
A- Poured with a nice frothy, foamy white head. Hazy straw yellow/orange color
S - Yeasty, lemony, touch of cloves and bananas as well as a bit sour. Very much expected for the style, and goes beyond others in this dept. actually
T - Weisse characteristics all show up on time, very mild banana notes, cloves, and a good deal of tartness at the end. Really refreshing
M - A little creamy, smooth and almost medium in overall MF. Carbonation could have been a bit more present for style
D - Really refreshing, and easy to quaff. No off flavors, and a fine example of the style. No trouble here
Overall, great example of the style, and found it pretty spot on in all areas. Good stuff.
