Aroma is floral and citrusy, with notes of grapefruit pith countering the rye spiciness and resiny, grassy character. Caramel malt adds depth.
Flavor is sharply citrusy, lots of grapefruit juice and pith, which is interestingly accented by bitter, earthy, resiny hops, finishing with a fairly bitter, peppery rye note that lingers. The bitterness overwhelms the aftertaste, but otherwise a very interesting beer.
