Handsome clear dark orange-amber with long-lasting foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Pleasant aroma of apricot and pine. Plenty spritzy with a sturdy body. Rather malty with just a touch of sweetness. This is quite hoppy in the dank mode. Dark grilled peach notes but mostly dark resins. The musty dank finish and way bitter aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.

Body is the colour and opacity of honey with a tight half finger of soapy white suds. Good retention and lacing.
Nose smells better than I remember it with some fruity and spicy hops meeting over a sweet sweet malt body.
This is more of an old school/east coast style IPA to my mind with more of a malt presence leading the way with straw grains and sweet malts, while the hops come in more riding on top of the grainy malt lede. Hops are more on the spicy/piney side of the equation. A touch yeasty.
Thicker bodied which I like and a nice subtle carbonation load it drinks smoothe.
The flavour unforunately holds this one back, as it just doesn't really mesh quite right for me. It's too bad too, and it pains me to admit as such, especially as I love Watmough (maaaaaaaany memories there, including my parents wedding), but while I love the pale this IPA is ultimately fairly underwhelming.

Pours a hazy, gray-hued orange color with a half finger of sudsy bright white head that leaves thick lacing.
It has a fruity aroma of apple juice, mango, papaya and yeast. These carry over to the taste, where they're coupled with a nutty malt character that, honestly, doesn't meld very well to my taste. There's a mildly bitter aftertaste.
The mouthfeel is somewhat heavier than expected, pretty slick and wine-like, with a very slight prickliness to it.
Sort of reminds me of a better version Short's Soft Parade without the berries. It's got this part beer, part wine, maybe even part cider thing going. Not totally my thing, but worth a try.
