A nice surprise coming from a Portuguese craft brewery. Dark colour, medium body and pleasant foamy head.
Coffee and chocolate smell. The taste is true to a black I IPA, but somehow missing the American hops feeling.
Mainly coffee, chocolate, roasted malt taste.
Well made and it can be found at a very reasonable price.

Poured to a tumbler glass.
A: The body is orange to coppery with a medium to high haziness. The head is white with a good retention but minor thickness. No lacing.
S: Smells like a very good hoppy West Coast IPA, having a very prominent citrus profile, encircled with a resinous profile and a strong malty tone. It's great.
T: The taste is very well balanced between resin & citric profiles. Very well balanced indeed. In the end, a very good hoppy profile with a mild bitterness, that should only be higher. It's very smooth which is remarkable. It tastes like heaven.
M: Body is medium low. Carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is unnoticed. Bitterness is medium and smooth. Would only ask for a denser body.
O: It's not a perfect West Coast IPA because bitterness is not higher and because of the mild haziness present in the body, but it's a very good beer. One of the best portuguese interpretations I've ever had.
