This was part of a trade with a friend from a while back and as usual, it took me a while to get around to this. Nice label design and of course, it's nice to review and support a local brewery as this beer was quite easygoing and enjoyable for being an American Imperial IPA. This wouldn't win any awards in my book but it was nice to have a brew from Alementary that had some booze and heft to it!

The hue to this beer was a chalky, muted straw as it had enough head topping it off. Most of the lacing was along the bottom half of my pint glass although it was quite extensive for being so thin. Pine, booze, and a deep outdoors heft could be found in the subdued nose as the taste was quite similar to the heavy nose. Some deep citrus, dank grapefruit, and sticky hops lingered in the taste as this came across as much stronger than it was in actuality. Somewhat slick and outdoorsy, this held up well over time as there wasn't a lot of sediment in the liquid as none settled on the bottom of my pint glass.

It would have been nice if something was stamped on the bottom of the can, as I had no idea how old this beer was. Regardless, this was an enjoyable beer with plenty of resin on the palate and a leathery aftertaste.. It had me wanting more as I still haven't been able to pinpoint what these guys are about...

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a conical pint glass; no production information.
A: Pours a hazy, golden brown color with very exuberant head formation, leaving a two inch, fluffy, white head, excellent retentions and significant, glass covering lacing.
S: Floral, with aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, and pine.
T: Citrusy with pine, resin, and mint flavors all noticeable. Bitterness almost spearmint, leaving a clean refreshing finish.
M: Light to medium bodied with dramatic effervescence.
O: An solid DIPA, but the minty notes are usual, different, and enjoyable.
