Judiciously dry-hopped twice with a blend of Simcoe and Falconer's Flight 7C's, this was the first of our explorations of pale ales. Magellan provided a map for many beers to come!

Served on tap at the Alementary Brewing Co. in Hackensack, NJ.
A: Pours a hazy, dark golden color with a one finger, densely fluffy, great than one finger white head, solid retention and lacing.
S: Grainy with fruit aromas with grapefruit and orange, pine, and caramel note.
T: Semidry. Citrus, particularly grapefruit and orange and modest pine. Solid bitterness in line with flavors and sweetness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate effervescence.
O: A solid, grainy AAPA on a par with any within the substyle. Well made and enjoyable.

On tap at The Landing in Hillsborough. Slight haze. Straw colored, nice lacing. Not super aromatic but what’s there is great — solid mango and peach notes. Otherwise very floral and pleasant. A touch of sweetness at first, settling into the familiar dry APA flavor profile. Hints of mint and lemon zest with a very light malt profile. Exceedingly soft, almost silky mouthfeel. My first Alementary beer and I’m very impressed.

12 oz can poured into snifter. Hazy spicy mustard color with accents of tea. Head is tall, fluffy, and mighty. 3 fingers, destroys the glass with lace.

Fresh orange and vanilla on the nose. Lingering notes of orange juice and honey. So juicy.

Flavor is a bit more bitter and seltzer-like than the nose gives off, but at the end there's a subtle delicious fruit cocktail note that just goes on for days. Starts with seltzer, then slight herbal bitterness, light woody pine, and then faint washed out peaches, pears, oranges, grapefruit, and cherry.

Feel is light and effervescent, very poppy, very kind. Easy to drink. Not many lingering resins.

Overall, a very nice drinking IPA. I love the aroma to death. Would definitely have again.

This is a delicious pale ale that reminds me of Funk Tumbleweed and Magnify Low Visibility. The smell is wheaty with some citrus and something like marmalade. The taste follows with nice bitterness and some earthiness. Very easy drinking. yb

On tap at Verona Inn in Verona. Pours an effervescent golden hue with minimal frothing. Mellow aroma replete with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Similar overall flavor profile.
