Spotted Dog is the Alementary's homage to simplicity. While craft beer often makes waves for new and newsworthy combinations, it's also worth crafting the classics. It takes just as much dedication and commitment to the technique, and high-quality ingredients. The result is this pure, no-nonsense ale. No frills, fruits, or gimmicks necessary. Just clean, pale golden beer for beer's sake.

Very clear amber color with medium light carbonation. Body is around medium but overall a nice feel
Aroma is a nice combo of malt, malted grain, cereal,a pleasant aroma of honey with a very mild amount of earthy grass.
Taste has some mild sweetness with the grainy cereal lingering in the aftertaste with a bit of hop bitterness.
Overall I thought it was a really nice beer that I would serve to craft people and non craft beer people as I thinknit could please both. Would get this again.

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass; canned February 25, 2020.
A: Pours a basically crystal clear, golden color with beautiful ongoing production of champagne sized bubbles, a brief, less than one finger, white head, cap and rim retention, but minimal lacing.
S: Aromas of barnyard and pepper out front, with emerging grassy, grainy (esp barley) on the back end.
T: Dry. Flavor characterized by very strong barley grain, a subtle fruitiness (lemon - early), and light bitterness. Very husky; if I didn't know what barley tasted like, I would confuse this for a stale taste. Graininess in the aftertaste.
M: Light to medium bodied with ongoing, solid carbonation, I would characterize as moderate. Not creamy at all.
O: Never a huge fan of cream ales. I understand where they were trying to go with this, but enough with the barley. Too much that and just not creamy enough. If that is harsh, it is meant as truly honest, but constructive criticism, humbly offered.
