There may be no beer closer to the color of copper than this one. It rests for observation inside a clear pint glass, just now drawn off a tap. There's a nice white head atop which has left lovely lacing where it's receded. There's a good, if not overpowering ale aroma; malt, hops, yeast and alcohol, respectively. To the taste, the order changes to hoppy, malty and then a little yeasty with a hint of alcohol. None of this is in bold fashion, in fact it's a little mild. The biggest flaw is the mouthfeel being too light across the tongue. Not bad, but a little more body would improve things much.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint; canned 05 March 2020, code GOOD JOB!
A: Pours a hazy, dark amber to light copper color with a two finger, foamy, off-white head, solid retention and foamy, sticky rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of white grapefruit, lemon, and pine overlay caramel maltiness.
T: Semidry to dry. The palate follows the nose, with a touch of cracker, but with very solid, piney bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with solid carbonation.
O: This is an exceptionally dry and bitter APA. Almost like a WCIPA in composition. Solidly made, perhaps even flavor forward, seems designed for those not prepared to mess around.
