Not sure if this is a Bohemian Pilsner, but still, it is a proper pilsner. Quite bitter though, was surprised what all those German Hops do! Not a big fan of extra bitters but this one was somehow fascinating and I can say that I kind of enjoyed this one. Guess the fresh hops did their thing. Had this in Linz, was a good trip.

Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is mostly malty with grains and honey notes. Taste follows with clean malts and honey, slightly sweet at first but finishes with hoppy bitterness. Medium to light body with crisp carbonation. It's a good beer but apart from a slightly increased bitterness, it's not very different from a regular pils.

Got this beer from my parents who live close to the brewery. This beer was brewed for this years edition of the Landesausstellung Upper Austria together with southern Bohemia.

very light, straw colored with lots of big bubbles, likewise coarse foam of 3 fingers, reduces with medium speed and leaves little lacing.

Aroma: with foam there is some citric notes but later there is only little floral hops and some pilsener malt.

starts very restrained with pilsner mout then there come some spicy noble hops and its ends in a gentle lingering hop bitterness that comes smoothly and stays forever. I wonder if your typical American hop head can still enjoy this gentleness. I did a lot.

Light to medium body, refreshing for a hot summer day, carbonation is quite gently not biting

This is just as a pilsener should be, very drinkable with no flavors to offend. They use about the same soft water as they do in Pilsen and this pays off. Of course it is a pilsener and therefore it has not much for a beer geek to ramble about, except for this tremendously gentle hop aftertaste that celebrates fresh local Mühlviertler hops (Magnum, Aurora and Golding according to label). Worth a try if you dig Pilsener.
