A: Pours a relatively hazy medium golden apricot in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate medium golden yellow + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy white head that reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a medium thick ring at the edges of the glass, Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal, tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit pith, dank/resinous, and spicy hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly bready malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of slightly bready malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of herbal, tropical/mango, tropical/pineapple, citrus/grapefruit pith, dank/resinous, and spicy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which slowly fades away leaving lingering tropical + citrus hop flavors.
M: just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a fluffy mid-body and a hint of dryness in the finish.
O: Drinks fairly easily with relatively well hidden alcohol. Enjoyable and a nice example of a SMaSH IPA, glad I grabbed this one.
