This is a clear, pale gold IPA (SRM3-4). The rocky white head quickly falls from one inch to nonexistent, while rapid large carbonation is prevalent. There is no lace on the IIPA glass. A quick swirl of the can adds haziness.
The aroma is fairly simple, with grapefruit, followed by orange pith and light pine.
This is quite bitter and almost balanced by sweetness. Mango and pineapple juice carry from first sip late into a long, modest finish. Watermelon is obvious, while mild sourness builds with warmth. Warmth also brings out a clean, honeydew flavor.
The texture is watery, while the body is medium to light. Alcohol is light and carbonation is fizzy.
This is an enjoyable beer, though I'm not sure why they consider it a Milkshake IPA. It will work very well on a hot, humid day, perhaps while celebrating the 4th of July.
