16oz can, sample sent from the brewery.
Milkshake milky-tan hue with some white lacing on top. Smells like a fruited milkshake, hint of hops in the nose but in the end it smells like what the brewer intended it to smell like. Milky body, mild smoothness, creamy and then slightly drying. Hop flavor and bitterness do come through enough to ensure your taste buds that this is still and IPA. The fruit is there, a bit of creaminess, and it does comes off a tad milky. The purist in me wants to hate this because this shouldn't work, the punk inside of me says "Hell Yeah, Long Live Extreme Beer!!! ".

This is a milkshake style IPA that I purchased while vacationing in Appalachia. The look is dense as expected and appears as a muted yellow. The smell is just general sweetness. The lactose is prevalent and the strawberry is definitely there. The lactose and the hops work well in the profile. There’s an intense sweetness that gives way nicely to the hop profile. Finishes balanced, notes of strawberry, peach, honeydew. The feel of the beer is perhaps it’s best quality. The density is almost chewable, yet it has the creamy smooth feel of the style. Great representation of the milkshake/murkshake style.
