Pours oil black nice two finger coco colored head that falls slowly that leaves spotty lace. Good looking stout anyway.
Aroma is light chocolate, like a mild roast coffee not overly roasted at all or maybe the sweetness is covering it up. Lactose and a strange notelike milk starting to go bad mixed in the the cake batter, luckily what ever weirdness I am picking up doesn't transfer to the taste.
Taste is lots of chocolate, lactose again not much on the roasted side just a mild bit. Cake batter with out the weird light sour notes that were in the nose. For a big desert beer its definitely on the less sweetness side of the ones I have had lately. Not great but can't knock it too much.
Mouthfeel is big medium really smooth due to the mild carbonation level.
Overall eh not bad but considering the 12% on the milder side of most dessert beers.
