Subdued. Aromas, hop flavors, and alcohol bite- this beer low-keys them all.
Nothing jumps out here other than the fact that this beer is going down my piehole posthaste. It's an IPA; it's New England-style; it's well-made- no flaws, but it's not hoppy, not sweet, not juice, and doesn't feel heavy. It's like "everyone's favorite cousin".
I like it. Great craftmanship. I'd drink it again, but $5.79/pint can is too high a price to (re)pay again another time- there's not that "extra something" to will me.
[This is where I usually list the can date and beer age, but alas, there is none found. Usually a big no-no, I took a flier because it was new to my shop.)
